Chaos To Christmas: Mary & Joseph
    Series: Past Sermons
Christmas is supposed to be celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. This same baby will later die on a cross, and then be resurrected by God the Father in a miraculous way, fulfilling prophecy and providing the way of salvation. Not one of many ways, but the ONLY way of salvation. It is given to all of us, but you have to accept the terms of His way of salvation. Giving each of us a choice if Jesus Christ becomes our savior. He is savior of the world, but does He become your savior? Chaos To Christmas: The Shepherds
    Series: Past Sermons
We all know the Christmas event. Who are the main characters in the original Christmas event? All the characters that we put out in our nativities. Perhaps you have not noticed this, but shepherds were a big part of the Christmas story. They are not just some extras in the “movie” of Christmas. They are not like the unnamed disposable stormtroopers of an evil empire in a Star Wars movie, who appear and disappear as the hero, Luke Skywalker vaporized them with his trusty light-sabre. Luke 2 tells us the shepherds were taking the starring role. So let’s take some time today and examine with me the shepherds’ Christmas. Have you considered how they might have felt when they heard of the Christ child being born? What were they thinking? Join us as we find out. #stjoecofc #ComeAndSee #BeIntentionalin2020 #ChaostoChristmas #theshepherds Check out our YouTube Channel at https://www.youtube.com/c/StJoeChurchofChrist

    Chaos To Christmas: King Herod
    Series: Past Sermons
Through this sermon series called Chaos to Christmas, we are going to look at different people who experienced the original Christmas event. To see what Chaos was in their life, and if they were able to leave the chaos, and enter into a peace, calm. With all the chaos that is going on all around us, we are all desperately wanting some calm this December. Last week we looked at the wise men. How they were constantly going between Chaos and Calm. They ultimately found the true calm of coming to Worship Jesus. Today we are going to look at King Herod. What can we learn about Christmas from Herod? Join us as we find out. #stjoecofc #ComeAndSee #BeIntentionalin2020 #ChaostoChristmas #KingHerod

    Chaos to Christmas: Wise Men
    Series: Past Sermons
Every year at Christmas time, people get geared up for this great time of year. There are decorations in the yards, Christmas movies playing, radio stations filled with the season’s songs. And every year people start complaining about Christmas. It’s too commercialized. It’s too frantic. There isn’t enough time. The weather is too cold, there is too much snow, there isn’t enough snow. And it seems that every December, our schedules, our lives become very chaotic. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could just have a simple, basic Christmas? One full of meaning, and not drama. A Christmas that speaks to our hearts and minds, not drains our wallets? Join us as we journey from Chaos to Christmas. #stjoecofc #ComeAndSee #BeIntentionalin2020 #ChaostoChristmas #WiseMen Check out our YouTube Channel at https://www.youtube.com/c/StJoeChurchofChrist

    How to Pray: Pray Always
    Series: Past Sermons
Whether you know it or not, we are in a war. That is one of the reasons we have spent November looking at Prayer. It is a vital part of every Christians life, and yet so many Christians neglect this. Today we look at one more reason we need to pray. We are going to look at Ephesians 6. This passage is well known to so many of us, but we miss a major piece. This is known as the Armor of God. Join us as we really look and dissect this passage, to see there is one piece of armor we don't tend to focus on, which in turn causes us to not be prepared for the battle. #stjoecofc #ComeAndSee #BeIntentionalin2020 #HowToPray #PrayAlways

How To Pray: Prayer of Thanksgiving
    Series: Past Sermons
There are people who are thankful in this world, and there are people who aren’t. One of the themes in Scripture is that God’s people should always be a thankful people. Psalm 147 is a psalm of praise. A psalm of prayer. A psalm of thanksgiving. And such a prayer is not that uncommon throughout Scripture. Again and again you see men and women of God lifting up their hearts and praising God. Join us for a Prayer of Thanksgiving. #stjoecofc #ComeAndSee #BeIntentionalin2020 #HowToPray #PrayerofThanksgiving
