    The Early Church’s Message
    Series: Past Sermons
Let's take a trip back to last week. Peter and John were on their way into the temple walking through those huge brass gates. They stopped and healed a crippled man. This did not happen somewhere in a quiet corner. This was very public. There could have been somewhere around two million people attending the feast of Passover. Most everyone would be coming and going to the temple. There would be huge crowds attending every service, going through the same gates where Peter and John healed this man. Peter’s first sermon followed this miraculous event. Join us as we hear Peter's first sermon. #stjoecofc #ComeAndSee #Destination2021 #TheChurch

    The Church on the Move
    Series: Past Sermons
In this series we will be looking at The Church. From the “Infant” Church, established in Acts 2. Many churches carrying the name of Christ, can sink into the mindset of thinking that church is all about us; that our life together as a congregation is all about getting my needs met, my spiritual itch scratched. I think it must be heartbreaking to our Savior. The Church was giving a Destination. Jesus directed all believers to GO. “And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”  But how? Join us as we find out.  #stjoecofc #ComeAndSee #Destination2021 #TheChurch Check out our YouTube Channel at https://www.youtube.com/c/StJoeChurchofChrist

    Acts: Peter’s Sermon
    Series: Past Sermons
Two weeks ago, we looked at the beginning of Acts 2, where we had seen God do an amazing, jaw-dropping event! The people had just seen Jesus, perfect and magnificent, ascend to Heaven to be seated at the right hand of God. Followed by tongues of fire and the gift of the Holy Spirit! How do you follow that up? What happened next? Peter stands up and reminds them of who it was that crucified Him. How did the crowd respond?  Join us as we find out! #stjoecofc #ComeAndSee #Destination2021 #TheBookofActs

Pentecost. A big “Churchie” word. We know it was a day, but did you know it was a day of festival? A day of celebration for the Jews? To find the answers we must dig into God’s word and see what happened on the this day that scripture was fulfilled? #stjoecofc #ComeAndSee #Destination2021 #TheBookofActs

This section of Acts is generally looked over, summarized or all together just skipped. People will reference it, but I have not really heard much on the scriptures we are going to look at today. Last week we started our study through the book of Acts. Jesus gives His followers some final instructions. To go and wait in Jerusalem until they receive the Holy Spirit. So what happened when the disciples returned to Jerusalem? Join us as we find out. #stjoecofc #ComeAndSee #Destination2021 #TheBookofActs Check out our YouTube Channel at https://www.youtube.com/c/StJoeChurchofChrist
